![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm impressed with the way that Mark Waid wrote this history book so that we see events that were published 50 years ago, but if subsequent issues retconned anything from those early issues, he takes those retcons under advisement, and puts everything together in a way that makes sense. Overall, I definitely got my money's worth from Issue #3. Along the way, there are panels from those original comics in the back section. Then, the back of the book is a reference guide, retelling the same history that was just outlined in graphic form, but now with the comic book series and issue numbers that the information was gathered from. First, this issue gives readers a telling of the early history of the Marvel universe (this issue starts with the birth of the Fantastic Four) in the typical comic book style. I don't usually log individual issues of comic books on Goodreads, but this was an extended read because of its format. ![]()
